Beginner Basics – Open Chords – Learn Basic Chords

This is one Video of a 4 part series on basic chords.

Remember a few things when you first start making a chord. Start out slow watch and pay attention to where your fingers are. If you strum the chord and it sounds funny like the notes are not all ringing out. Take a look at your fingers, make adjustments and try again.

You should play on the tips of your fingers. This should help with keeping your fingers from touching other strings. Also remember to keep your thumb on your fretting hand, low on the middle of the neck.
