Open C Chord Finger Position
- Place your first finger on the B string, at the first fret. (2nd string).
- Your second finger is on the D string. 4th string, at the second fret.
- Then your third finger is on the 5th string. At the third fret. Which is the A string.
- When Strumming the C chord. Don’t play the 6th string.

How to Play Am On Guitar
- Place your first finger on the 2nd string. The B String, at the 1st fret.
- Put your second finger on the 4th string, (D string) at the second fret.
- Then your third finger is on the G string, (3rd string) at the second fret.
- Strum from the fourth string down.
F Barre Chord Finger Position
- Your first finger is across all the strings at the First fret. Like a Capo.
- Place your second finger on the 3rd string. (G string). At the second fret.
- Then place your third finger on the 5th string. The A string, on the 3rd fret.
- Under the third finger is your pinkie. Also at the 3rd fret on the 4th string.
- You can strum all the strings when playing the F Barre Chord.

- Place Your first finger at the second fret of the A string. Which is the 5th string.
- Put your second finger at the third fret on the E string. The 6th string.
- Your third finger is at the third fret. On the B string. (2nd string)
- Then place your pinkie on the third fret of the high E string. The 1st string.
- When strumming the G chord you can play all the strings.

How to Play Dolly Parton Circle of Love
The song is in 6/8 timing. Most songs that you hear are in 4/4 timing. Which means there is 4 beats in a measure. So your counting the beats 1 2 3 4. 1 2 3 4.
In Circle of Love the timing is 6/8. If you simply listen to the song. You can hear the beat. 1 2 3 4 5 6. 1 2 3 4 5 6.
This makes it really easy to Arpeggiate the chords. To play in 6/8 time.
What does this mean? To Arpeggiating the chords: You are taking the chord. For example the C chord. And instead of strumming the chord. You are picking individual strings.
And for the most part this is how the song is played. There is some strumming as the song progresses.
And if you are a complete beginner you could strum the song.
How to Arpeggiate the Chords

To make this easy for you. First off I will name the strings in the order that you need to play them.

Set your fretting hand up on the guitar to play the G chord. Then you are going to want to pick the individual notes. Pick these strings one at a time: 6 432 34.
