First off If you are a newby guitar player. Your going to want to strum the chords. This song is a good one to start with. Even though it has a barre chord in it. The reason I say its a good one is you can do all down strums. If you want to learn more about strumming take a look at How to Strum a Guitar.

Then it sounds great if you play the bass line. To do this take these chords for example the E A and B. You are going to pick the bass note of the chord.

This song is at a slow tempo. And it sounds great to arpeggiate the chords. If you don’t know how to arpeggiate chords. take a look at this Arpeggiated Chord Guitar Lesson.

There are different patterns you can pick. But for this song. Take the same chords. E A and B and play them like this:

Starting with the thickest string and counting down. 6 5 4 3 2 1.

When playing the E chord pick the strings in this order 6 5 4 3.

Position your fingers to play the A chord. And pick these strings 5 4 3 2. After that move to play the B chord. Play it by picking these strings 5 4 3 2. And move back to play the A chord and pick strings 5 4 3 2.

After that you have the chorus. Your going to play the chords in this order; E A B A B A A and it repeats 3 times. Then you go back to the beginning and play it all the way through. After the second verse, and chorus. Then Play Chords A A, E E , A A, E E, A A, E E.

Angel of the Morning Lyrics

They'll be no strings to bind your head
Not if love can find your heart

There's no need to take a stand
For it was I who choose to start

I see no need to take me home
I'm old enough to face the dawn

Just call me angel of the morning (Angel)
Just touch my cheek before you leave me (Babe)
Just call me angel of the morning (Angel)
Then slowly turn away from me

Maybe the suns light will be dim
And it won't matter anyhow

If mornings echo says we've sinned
Well it was what I wanted now

And if were victims of the night
I won't be blinded by the light

Just call me angel of the morning (Angel)
Just touch my cheek before you leave me (Babe)
Just call me angel of the morning (Angel)
Then slowly turn away
I won't beg you to stay ..
With me... Through the Tears .. Or the day or years, Ba a a be...

Just call me angel of the morning (Angel)
Just touch my cheek before you leave me (Babe)
Just call me angel of the morning (Angel)
Just touch my cheek before you leave me (Darlin)

Just call me angel of the morning (Angel)
Just touch my cheek before you leave me (Dar-arling)
